Brac Island & Zlatni Rat beach in summer 2022 - Croatia best beach, 4k video. Brač is a Croatian island in the Adriatic sea that boasts spectacular nature, picturesque small towns and beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters. Brac is the nearest island to Split and it takes about 1 hour to travel from Split to Brac by ferry. The main entry point to Brac island is Supetar, its capital and largest town. Brac island is most famous with its large V-shape pebble beach Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) that changes its shape depending on the wind and tide. Zlatni Rat is located in the small town of Bol and is one of Croatia's best beaches. To get to Bol you can get a taxi or a bus from Supetar for about 1 hour. Zlatni Rat beach is 2 km from the central part of Bol and you go through a shady pine trees promenade to reach the beach. Along the way you will see other small beaches. Things to do in Brač, Croatia! If you are wondering how to travel Brač, look no further as I have made a travel guide ⇩⇩Click ‘show more’⇩⇩ Brač is the 3rd largest island in the Adriatic Sea, and despite being so near to Split the island isn’t as touristy as it’s neighbouring islands Hvar and Korcula. From divine beaches, historical architecture all the way to the incredible nature with olive fields and vineyards, you won’t want to miss a chance to explore this island. On my day trip to Brač, I caught the ferry from Split, using Jadrolinja ferry services. I used the local bus service (Arriva) from Supetar - Bol. Brač je otok kulture i avanture, otok koji je se s razlogom smatra jednim od najljepših u Jadranu. Brač je i najviši otok u Jadranskom moru a sa 778 m visokog vrha VIDOVE GORE pruža se prekrasan panoramski pogled na Bol, Zlatni rat i sve srednjodalmatinske otoke. Okupan suncem i tirkiznim morem, bogat tradicionalnim i modernim događanjima, prožet mirisom čempresa i borova, otok Brač krije brojna čarobna mjesta, prekrasne plaže, autentične priče i nebrojene doživljaje. Otok Brač obrubljen je čarobnim uvalama i prekriven šumama borova i čempresa. Na njegovim pašnjacima koze se hrane aromatičnim travama što njihovom siru daje izvanredan okus. Osunčani brački brežuljci prekriveni su vinogradima čije grožđe daje izvrsna vina. Od davnina, u okolici mjesta Pučišća na sjevernoj strani otoka, nalaze se kamenolomi čijim su kamenom Bračani gradili svoje kuće, a isti taj Brački kamen ugrađen je u Bijelu kuću u Washingtonu i u Dioklecijanovu palaču u Splitu. Najstarije mjesto na otoku, Škrip, čuva obrambene zidine ilirskog naselja iz 3. stoljeća, a uz to u rimskom kaštelu Radojković možete posjetiti Muzej otoka Brača s bogatom zbirkom kamenih i etnografskih ostataka. Nerežišća, smještena u središnjem dijelu otoka, nekad su bila glavno otočno središte, sve dok 1828. godine Austrija nije dala prednost Supetru. U mjestu se nalazi barokna crkva Sv. Marije, zasigurno najmonumentalnija crkva na otoku, a posebno je zanimljiva kapela Sv. Petra iz čijeg kamenom popločenog krova apside raste bor. Volite li mistična mjesta posjetite Zmajevu špilju povrh naselja Murvica, koja je služila kao obitavalište i hram svećenika glagoljaša u 15. stoljeću koji su je bogato ukrasili neobičnim skulpturama čije značenje još nije otkriveno. Na udaljenosti dva sata hoda od Murvice, svećenici glagoljaši iz Poljica, bježeći pred Turcima, osnovali su 1551. godine pustinjački samostan Blaca. Skriven i relativno nepristupačan, samostan ima muzej koji prikazuje fascinantan, za ono vrijeme civilizacijski iznimno napredan život ove vjerske zajednice. Usprkos bogatom kulturnom nasljeđu, Brač je ipak najpoznatiji po svojoj plaži Zlatni rat u Bolu, koja je uvrštena na popis deset najljepših svjetskih plaža. Prekrivena je finim oblucima, trokutastog je oblika s vrhom ispupčenim u more koje ga zaokreće ovisno o smjeru svojih struja. Zbog povoljnih vjetrova, bolska plaža je omiljena među ljubiteljima jedrenja na dasci. Volite li planinarenje uspnite se do vrha Vidove gore (778 m), najvišeg bračkog vrha i ujedno najvišeg vrha među jadranskim otocima, odakle se pruža nezaboravan pogled na jadransku pučinu, otoke Hvar, Šoltu i Vis te planine Mosor i Biokovo. When we were in Split, Croatia we were walking along the Riva boardwalk looking out across the ocean to these islands… which we knew nothing about. So, we thought we must go out and explore to see what we would discover. And, one place that we found astonishingly beautiful was Brac Island. By using the ferries from Split to Brac, it only took about 45 minutes to get there. Once we got there, we fell in love with this gorgeous island in Croatia. And, once you watch our video you’ll understand why. You’ll discover how amazing Brac Island is, with lovely little villages dotted throughout… and some of the most breathtaking scenery. If you're looking for things to do in Croatia then this video is for you. Bol (on Brac Island) is where you want to go. It's a small enchanting full of wonder and charm. This is one of our favourite islands on the planet. SUBSCRIBE! - 🤍 Bol is situated on the southern part of the island Brac, and is the oldest town on the coast of Brac. This little town was founded long ago and became an extraordinary tourist oasis because of the wide gravel and sandy beaches which expands over 10 km and the sources of drinking water. It is not possible to avoid the Zlatni rat, certainly the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic sea, whose cape is turning one moment to one side and the other moment to the other side playing a strange game with the wind and the waves. Above Bol is rising the coronet of Bols hills, the illlyrian fortress Kostilo (660 m) and the Vidova gora (778 m), the highest top of the Adriatic islands. Bol is only 15 km away from the international tourist and sports airport "Brac", and excellent connected with the fast lines to the coast, but also with a ferry- line from Supetar. Bol actually has a lot to offer to everyone. You can relax at the beach and get some tan, or you can be active as much as you like. Outdoor activities in Bol include hiking, scuba diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, quad rides, sightseeing (museums, galleries, traditional architecture), para-sailing, banana and tube rides, water skiing, free climbing and much more. Bol also offer wide variety of restaurants and bars for you to choose from. Most restaurants offer local and Mediterranean specialties, most popular being ‘Lamb on a spit’ and ‘Octopus under Peka’. If you like trying different food you should definitely try ‘Vitalac’ which is a dish authentic to island Brac. Bol has a lot to offer accommodation wise. First of all, there are four large hotels, many small family owned hotels and also vast selection of private self-catering apartments in Bol for you to choose from. Hotels in Bol offer all inclusive or half board service, with two hotels offering many activities, animation and wellness centers. Bluesun hotel Elaphusa has huge wellness that covers 3000 square meters and all the water inside is sea water (swimming pool, three Jacuzzi and treatment baths). Four major hotels in Bol ( Three Bluesun hotels: Elaphusa 4*, Borak 3* and Bonaca 3* all inclusive family hotel, and Hotel Bretanide 3* all inclusive) are located half way from Bol center to Zlatni rat beach, by the promenade, all close to the sea. Bol Town on Brac Island is a beautiful, peaceful town along the Croatian coastline. It is only a one hour ferry ride from Split. Zlatni Rat Beach in Bol is probably one of the most famous beaches in Croatia and I can see why. We visited this gem of a place in late May, so we were able to enjoy the beach without the summer crowds. Yes, the water is still a bit cold but we were able to have a refreshing swim since the sun is pretty hot. Bol was an amazing start to our island hopping adventure along the Dalmatian Coast! FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF CROATIA 🇭🇷 (what to eat, see, & do in Dubrovnik, Split, and Brac) We started our adventure in Split, a charming Mediterranean town in Croatia. The first day we hiked Marjan hill which is lush with trees, scenic viewpoints, and paths where we enjoyed several lookouts. The lookout points were breathtaking but make sure you head all the way up to Telegrin Peak for the best views of the town, the islands, and mountains. We also woke up early to explore the old town without the crowds.The old town of Split is a maze of streets and cobblestoned lanes that surround Diocletian’s Palace. It truly was worth getting up early to have it all to ourselves! The next day we took a ferry from Split to the island of Brac. We stayed in the small harbor town of Bol. Bol is a beautiful town made up of small stone houses and winding streets. Brac is famous for its stone which you can see all over the island. This same stone was used in the construction of Diocletian's Palace and the White House. We visited the stunning beach, Zlatni Rat first thing. We enjoyed the beach to ourselves and watched the sunset. While on the island of Brac we couldn't miss the challenging hike up to the Vidova Gora. Vidova Gora is the highest point in the Adriatic islands and the views were worth the climb! It was 7 miles round trip and took us about 4 hours. Alternatively, if you want to skip the challenging hike up, you can drive to the top or get a taxi and hike back down into town. After a few great days on Brac we ferried back to Split and took the local bus to the city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It is usually regarded as the most picturesque city on the Dalmatian coast and is referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. The narrow streets are filled with restaurants and small shops. It gets very very crowded during the day with hordes of people coming off of cruise ships so make sure you start early. It is definitely a do not miss on any Croatian holiday! After leaving Dubrovnik we rented a car and officially started our "European road trip"! We slowly made our way to Mostar, Bosnia stopping along the way to try some fresh oysters in Moli Ston.
