Orange pi zero vs raspberry pi zero смотреть последние обновления за сегодня на .
I was doing a simple file transfer over HTTP with the Raspberry Pi Zero 2, when it failed. I'm surprised by the results and use an older Orange Pi Zero as a comparison. The performance of the two single board computers shocked me.
The Orange Pi Zero3 is a relatively low priced SBC with a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor. It supports up to 4GB of RAM and can run Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, and Android. There is also built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet. Could this be a viable alternative to the Raspberry Pi? - Let Me Explain T-shirt: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍 #garyexplains
In a time when Raspberry Pi’s are few and far between, alternative options such as the MangoPi MQ-QUAD are increasingly interesting and needed. In this review we cover the features, functionality and performance of the Allwinner H616 Quad Arm A53 core CPU. This single board computer is designed to be a drop in replacement of the Raspberry Pi Zero as it features the same form factor (65x30mm). This board is shipped with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. There are two linux distributions provided by MangoPi, tina-linux and debian. These actually appear to be the software images provided by OrangePi for their products. We used the debian image for our benchmarks. Performance in Coremark, PHPbench, GZIP, SmallPT and more are presented to hopefully answer the question of should you buy the Mango Pi MQ-PRO if you are looking for a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 and can’t get your hands on one. Orange has significantly less memory and costs a lot less, only about $7. Both devices are binary compatible, i.e. you can run the same applications on them without recompilation. We will launch a program in which each file in a cycle is decoded 10,000 times. We will use different image files. First we will test Orange. You see the decoding results for Orange. As you can see, Raspberry is faster than Orange by only 10-20%. When decoding from the camera, this difference is almost unnoticeable.

Update: Scroll down... As a long time Raspberry Pi user, I recently bought two Orange Pi Zero single board computers from AliExpress wanting to try out the competition. I setup one of them as my OctoPrint server to run my 3D printer. (Taking over from a Raspberry Pi 2 that I was using.) Turns out that I wasted my money and should have stuck with tried and true Raspberry Pi line of single board computers. My advice to others considering these is to just stick with Raspberry Pi as well. UPDATE: Some have asked about what OS I was running. It was Armbian 5.38. I took a look at the syslog for the Orange Pi and found this: It was running fine until July 22 around 06:25am. No more logs or checkpoints after that. Then at 13:17 on July 22 it rebooted itself... but in that boot-up this entry: Jul 22 13:17:06 3dprinter kernel: [ 15.799152] thermal thermal_zone0: critical temperature reached (139 C), shutting down. So that's when it "protected" itself but it just rebooted. A couple minutes later it just froze up no more logs until I rebooted it yesterday. Seems like something happened to cause the SOC to go into overload and overheat. It eventually rebooted.... saw the high temp and tried to protect itself, but it just rebooted again and crashed. #fail UPDATE #2 Aug 17: I left the second board running my printer with ethernet. I went to login to it to print something and it appeared locked up. Tried to connect via SSH and I got a Login and password prompt on SSH but then hung. Went to look at the board and yep, the second one was now burning hot. Luckily, since it was in free air and I had left a heat sink attached, it wasn't so hot it was melting or turning brown. A reboot and it worked again... Anyway, it's clearly unreliable to I installed Raspian on the SD card, put that into my Pi 2 and configured OctoPrint on that. I was running on this Pi 2 for maybe 9 months with this printer with zero issues.... So the Orange Pis are going to go in my drawer to likely never be used again.
In my last video I tested the Orange Pi Zero LTS and showed that it was possible to run it as a $20 NAS (Network Attached Storage). In this video, I show that it's possible to run an even better NAS on a budget of $30, and show what the Orange Pi Zero 2 is capable of.
#RaspberryPi #Benchmarks #Zero2W Full steps can be found at 🤍 The Devices The Raspberry Pi 3 runs a 1.4 GHz Quad Core Broadcom BCM2837 64-bit CPU with 1GB LPDDR2 RAM. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W runs a 1 GHz Quad Core Broadcom BCM2710A1 64-bit CPU with 512MB LPDDR2 SDRAM. The Benchmarks 7-Zip - The 7-zip benchmark tests compression and decompression using the LZMA method. Results are shown as a rating in MIPS (million instructions per second). The rating value is calculated from the measured CPU speed and it is normalized with Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4 GHz, 4 MB L2) CPU in 64-bit Windows with multi-threading option switched off. The charted value is the total compression MIPS score. Sysbench - The sysbench CPU benchmark verifies prime numbers by doing standard division of the number by all numbers between 2 and the square root of the number. Once a number gives a remainder of 0, the next number is calculated. CPU Blowfish - Blowfish is a symmetric-key 64-bit block cipher CPU CryptoHash - CrytpoHash is a cryptographic hash function that maps data of arbitrary size (often called the "message") to a bit array of a fixed size (called the "hash" or "message digest"). It is a one-way function, that is practically infeasible to invert, and is used in digital signatures, message authentication and hash functions to index data in hash tables. A Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, such as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc. This benchmark tests the integer processing ability of a CPU. CPU Fibonacci - A Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, such as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc. This benchmark tests the integer processing ability of a CPU. CPU N-Queens - N-Queens finds a way to place a variable number of queens on a chessboard so that no two queens threaten each other by sharing the same row, column or diagonal. For some reason, the Cortex-A53 which is a simpler in-order processor does better at this benchmark than more complex out-of-order processors like the Cortex-A72 and Core i5, but it is hard to conclude much from this result. CPU ZLib - ZLib is a software library used for data compression, which is used by the gzip file compression program. This benchmark is memory intensive, so its results will reflect the speed of the RAM. FPU FFT - Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) converts a signal to frequencies and vice-versa. It is used in audio digital signal processing and image signal processing, and is an indication how fast a processor can process video in software. FPU Raytracing - Raytracing is a rendering technique for generating an image by tracing the path of light as pixels in an image plane and simulating the effects of its encounters with virtual objects. Like FFT, this benchmark tests how well the processor deals with floating point numbers (i.e. numbers with decimal points).
