This is the SHERP N 1200, and it just might be the craziest, most hardcore off-world car in the world! Now based on performance stats alone, you may not think the SHERP sounds that impressive. After all, it’s powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that can produce 55hp and 190Nm of torque. In terms of weight, it also comes in at around 2,200kg. However, don’t let the stats deceive you - the SHERP can handle even the hardest of off-road terrains… So of course, Mat’s going to put it to the test! We’ve lined up a series of four challenges for Mat to put the SHERP through. It’ll start off with a muddy trail with deep ruts, followed by driving over a field that’s covered in logs and tree stumps. Following that it’ll be put to the test on a lake where it can FLOAT on water, and finally it’ll drive up a hill covered in boulders! The ability of this vehicle has to be seen to be believed! Read the full story: 🤍 The '24 Colorado ZR2 Bison still gets exclusive AEV add-ons such as wider fender flares, a full-width steel front bumper with a winch accommodation, and a rear bumper with steel corner plates. Underneath the truck are five skid plates made of Boron steel (the regular ZR2 has three aluminum plates). The Bison's additional protection covers the fuel tank and the rear differential, giving drivers more peace of mind on rocky terrain. A set of steel rock rails is also standard. The Bison's hooves are the real stars of the show. Its Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mud-Terrain tires are sized LT315/70R-17, which Chevy rounds up to 35 inches. Apart from the heavy-duty Silverado 2500HD ZR2, the Colorado ZR2 Bison is the only other truck with a bow-tie badge that features factory-installed 35s. This is absolutely my favorite rescue that I've ever done and I don't know if anything will be able to top it! The Central Oregon T-Bums are a group of antique car enthusiasts who go on overloading and off road trips in there 100+ year old cars. They take these things places that a lot of modern rigs won't go and do it just like it was done back in the old days! On their latest trip they were in the middle of the Ochoco National Forest when they got caught in a surprise thunderstorm that saturated the area. They had to take shelter in their cars and by the time the storm had passed, the ground was so muddy that they couldn't get out. So they stayed the night in the woods, and then I headed out the next day with my 🤍Jeep TJ-6 to try and get them out. Once we got to them it had dried out enough that some were able to make it out on their own, and were then able to recover the others, but the 1921 Studebaker was stuck pretty bad. So we used a combination of winching with my 🤍harborfreight Apex winch, and pulling with my 🤍YankumRopes to get it free and up the hill. By that time another thunder storm was coming in fast and we had to get out of the woods as the thunder and lighting started coming in behind us. New Toyota Land Cruiser Debuts with 409-HP 3.5L Twin-Turbo V-6 - Toyota has revealed the new 300-series generation of the Land Cruiser SUV. - It has new engines including a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 and a 3.3-liter turbodiesel V-6. Toyota doesn't redesign the Land Cruiser too often, so the arrival of this new 300-series model is a big deal. Compared with the outgoing 200-series iteration, this new Land Cruiser is lighter, more powerful, and has a far more modern interior. It'll go on sale in global markets but likely won't reach the U.S.—at least not in this form. After the Land Cruiser's recent discontinuation, the prevailing rumor is that America will only get the Lexus version of this new model, as the next-generation LX. While we wait to see what Toyota does with this new model on our shores, we can dive into the specs. It weighs a claimed 440 pounds less than its predecessor and uses two new engines: a gasoline twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque or a turbodiesel twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 with 304 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission and—naturally—four-wheel drive are standard across the board. The new design doesn't look radically different from the current model, but the front end has a more prominent grille and a snazzier lighting setup, while the rear has new taillights and a reshaped tailgate. Inside, the cabin benefits from a significant upgrade with a large tablet-style infotainment screen and a cleaner dashboard layout. Three rows of seats will be available, and the third row appears to fold into the floor—a change from the current model, which requires you to flip and fold the way back seats up towards the windows for more cargo capacity.
