X-Plane is a flight simulator produced by Laminar Research. X-Plane can be used professionally with the correct license or used personally. A personal use desktop version is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, while a mobile version is available for Android, iOS, and WebOS. X-Plane is packaged with several commercial, military, and other aircraft, as well as basic global scenery which covers most of the Earth. X-Plane also ships with other software to build and customize aircraft and scenery. X-Plane also has a plugin architecture that allows users to create their own modules, extending the functionality of the software by letting users create their own worlds or replicas of places on Earth. This is further enhanced by the Scenery Gateway which allows users to share airports with other users and eventually the airports are included by default in the base product. #FSXvsXPlane #FSXvsXP11 #FSXvsXPlane11

I hope you enjoy this video comparing FSX and X-Plane 10. Me messing around in FSX same are in a smaller aerobatic plane: 🤍 More on my PC Spec, SLI cooling and custom cooling: 🤍 Here is the commercial version of X-plane, the same on except you get a USB dongle and it costs $750. 🤍 I will make another comparisson in the coming weeks. As always, make your own mind up. My computer spec at this time was a 990X i7 o/c to 4.2GHz, 12Gb RAM, 2 x GTX590 (Quad SLI) to show my computer is more than capable of running both games at maxed out settings. At the time I was trying both but there were no additional packs for Xplane installed. You can see also from the linked videos that both games are maxed out. Just a note for all you doubters out there. In the near future I will make another vid as I have upgraded my PC yet again. The 2 x GTX590's should have been enough to show you but I now have 2 GXT690's.

Oculus Rift 🤍 (Amazon Ad) Yoke 🤍 (Amazon Ad) Rudder Pedal 🤍 (Amazon Ad) We all know that the equipment is very important to someone getting into flight simulation, however the one thing that is just as important is the knowledge. Flying without any idea on how to fly makes the sim into a game. It takes away the realism. Now, I am going to recommend an amazing flight instructor who truly believes in flight simulation as a training aid. His name is Rod Machado. You may even recognize his name, as he was the flight instructor on FSX. Now, on top of his really easy to listen to style of teaching, he also has a very impressive resume. He started instructing in 1973 and has 10,000 hours of flight under his belt. If you interested in doing things the right way, then I highly recommend any of Rod's training or books. Please Read. Thank You! I wanted to try something different and new. I haven't seen a video comparing them all at once so here it is. Below is addition detail on the video. Also at 5:20 in the video I forgot to add the caption "Aerofly FS". Leave your thoughts below. Thanks for watching! - Planes: I flew in each simulators default Cessna 172. Route: Interlaken Airport (LSMI) to Meiringen Airport (LSMM) Scenery: ORBX FTX Global and REX for FSX. Everything else is default. FPS average while recording with Fraps: FSX 60 (capped), X-Plane 40, and Aerofly 60 (capped). - My Opinions on each... FSX(Non-Steam Version): It has been a long time favorite of mine. Many great addons such as PMDG, ORBX, and many more. It might not have great detail out of the box, but with the right addons, it will look amazing. You will need a decent to high end computer to run this. X-Plane 10(Steam Version): I just bought during the Christmas Sale on Steam and have not yet had the time to try everything or even set up all the correct buttons for my joystick. With that in mind, I soon figured out there are no airport terminals out of the box. If you have any recommendations, please tell me. Aerofly FS(Steam Version): I READ SOME STEAM USERS ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH KEYS. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! I have had this game for a year now and I have mixed feelings. Out of the box it is stunning how a default sim could look that good. However, it lacks in a couple major places. First, you can only fly in Switzerland. Next is that it has all of maybe 7 planes to fly in. Finally, the real twist of the knife is that none of the buttons in the VC can be clicked with a mouse. All the buttons have to be key mapped. If you got this far, thanks for reading my thoughts on each. I put this video out to inform newer simmers of the pros and cons of each. Please don't hate me too much :) - Specs... Welcome to this video where I compare some of the features of FSX and X-Plane. The video is quite detailed and therefore quite long, but it is worth watching for a full comparison. Please like, subscribe or share if you enjoy. During the video, I look at the default Cessna 172 and scenery in both simulators before comparing flying and handling characteristics. It would have been quite impossible to have covered every default aircraft in both sims, so I have chosen one which both programs have modelled to a reasonable standard. Is there an over all winner? More free videos on using X-Plane for pilot proficiency are at: 🤍 Which flight simulator is better for real pilot training: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or X-Plane 11? Licensed pilots looking to build proficiency in a simulator require more accuracy than their non-pilot counterparts when it comes to items like airport marking accuracy, ATC functionality, GPS systems fidelity, flight models, weather and other flight sim parameters. In this video, Ryan Koch, a CFII who has coached real-world pilots remotely via flight sim, and Course Designer/Producer for PilotWorkshops (🤍), digs into the differences between X-Plane and this debut version of MSFS 2020. He focuses primarily on some of the major MS FlightSim 2020 features of interest to general aviation pilots and how they contrast with X-Plane. The comparisons of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 vs X-Plane will evolve as third party developers get more time to work with FightSim 2020. But X-Plane isn't standing still, either.
