Project files : 🤍 In Unreal engine 4, we can easily put a navmesh bounds volume into the world and allow NPC AIs navigate within the defined navigation volume. But, when it comes to open world, we can't use the usual method because of the size of the world. Calculating the navigable area would take too much time. Today I'll show you how to resolve that problem with Navigation invokers. In this methods, navigation system will calculate the navigation data wherever the character is placed. Consequently, it will make the whole world navigable by AI characters. ► 👇 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 // 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧! 🤍 ►Patrons will have access to project files of all the stuff I do in the channel and other extra benefits Full open world series playlist : 🤍 Like my facebook page for more content : 🤍 Follow me on twitter : 🤍 Follow me on reddit : 🤍 #CodeLikeMe #unrealengine #ue4 #indiegamedev

Unreal Engine 4. I've been playing a lot of short open-world games, and despite them only taking a couple hours to beat, there is something about a lot of them that just feels massive. Wishlist: Steam: 🤍 Epic Games Store: 🤍 We've been hard at work the last 3 months on implementing seamless planetary landings for Worlds Of The Future, generating planets/moons/asteroids with true to life heightmaps, with the help of the brilliant Voxel Plugin. Also some new music by Benedict Nichols (space track) and Harry Critchley (planet track) - all work in progress. All planets, moons, dwarf planets and asteroids (excluding gas giants) are landable in Worlds Of The Future, all with their own true to life textures, heightmaps, gravity and atmospheres. They'll all eventually have their own unique content, including cities and outposts which we're hard at work on. During the last 3 months, among lots of other things, we've also added more than a dozen new moons/dwarf planets/asteroids to Worlds Of The Future, and we're still planning on adding more, so you can explore all the amazing and unique locations in the Solar System.
