Reviews that have followed after Nvidia and AMD launched their mainstream GPUs the RTX 4060 Ti and RX 7600 respectively have been just utter terrible. There’s just no way these companies couldn’t have seen this coming. The messaging is clear they just don’t care at all about the mainstream PC gaming market. Nvidia actually released a GPU that costs the same as their last gen 2020 model and in some ways performs worse. Its basically a DLSS3 update. Meanwhile AMD decided to release another underwhelming GPU to add to the pile, not knowing they’re going to be cannibalized by their own last gen parts and a $30 discount wouldn’t be enough to entice people instead of going for the RTX 4060 at $299. Regardless they’re focused on the datacenter and going forward they can keep ruining the entry-level and mainstream market since at the end of the day its just a duopoly.
