Some of ESP32-Cam have additional resistors. It's make my ESP32-Cam Programmer didn't works, and this issue was solved by removing that resistors. [Update : Apr 2022] This version of ESP32 Programmer in this video is slightly different with the newest version. It’s a powerful 32-bit processor with multiple I/O ports. 12-bit A/D converters and a variety of interfaces. But the one thing that makes it stand out above the crowd is its built-in WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. When we experiment with the ESP32 WiFi we generally just hard-code our WiFi login information directly in our sketches. Some people use an external file, but it is just another way to accomplish the same thing. In both cases, our code is compiled and loaded onto our ESP32, so the ESP32 is locked into using that WiFi SSID and password. If you want to change these parameters to use your device on another WiFi network, then you need to change your code and recompile. This isn’t a great arrangement, especially if you want to move your creation to another network, share it with a friend or even create a commercial product. Enter WiFiManager. This great library lets you avoid hard-coding your WiFi parameters. Instead, you use a web-based interface to configure your SSID and password, so you can use your ESP32 project anywhere. Today, this channel will try to start into a new area: The area of the replacement of our beloved ESP8266 by the new ESP32. I invite you to join this journey. At the end of this video, you should be able to judge, if you want to order your first board (or take it out of your drawer) Summary: • We checked the GPIOs out and discovered, that we have many more of them, and that they abandoned the Dx numbering scheme. So, we do not have to write our sketches differently for the different boards. • Then, we looked at the different examples provided with the infrastructure. This will be stuff for many videos to come. Today, we tried PWM and it worked. We were able to generate a fading LED, steer a servo, and even create a primitive DAC with this function. • Next, we tried a simple example to check, if the Wi-Fi really works. And it does. We learned, that we will have to change all our ESP8266 sketches if we want to port them to the ESP32. • Then, I ported my NTP library to the ESP. With one small change, it worked and delivered accurate time also on the ESP32. • At the end, we checked also the new touch pins, and, together with the PWM functionality from the beginning of the video, we're able to create a small instrument. Attention: If your Arduino IDE is installed in the "Program file" area of Windows, you need to run "get.exe" as administrator. ESP32 Web Server Tutorial with a BME280 Sensor


Welcome to another ESP32 video tutorial! In this video, we are going to build a simple HTTP Web Server on an ESP32 board with a BME280 sensor. We are also going to learn how to make some requests to it using a web browser. Subscribe to the channel now if you do not want to miss any future video. Today's project is this. An HTTP web server is running on this ESP32 board. If we open a Web Browser and make a request to the IP address of the ESP32, an HTML page will be loaded with the readings we get from the BME280 sensor. The values are updated once every minute. The BME280 sensor can measure the temperature, the humidity, and the barometric pressure and it communicates with the ESP32 using the I2C interface. Check the ESP32 Weather Station project for more information. The HTML page also enables us to control the state of an LED which is connected to the ESP32 board. We can set the state of the LED here and when we press the Submit button the state of the LED changes. How cool is that! In my opinion, this is a very useful functionality that it will enable us to build some very interesting projects in the future! Who is AVR Dude, and what does he have against me trying to upload a sketch to my Arduino? If you’re getting this error when trying to upload code to your Arduino board – it can be REALLY frustrating! I wish I could say this happens because of 1 single problem – but this error pops up for many reasons… In this lesson we are going to go through a “laundry list” of possible solutions. We’ll start at the most common and easiest, and move on to more detailed troubleshooting tasks if those don’t work. By the end of this lesson, AVR Dude should be hitting the road, and your code will be loading on your Arduino board. SO WHO IS THIS AVR DUDE AND WHAT IS AVRDUDE: STK500_RECV() ERROR? AVRDude is a utility used by the Arduino IDE. It stands for AVR Downloader Uploader and it allows you to load your code onto your Arduino board. The avrdude: stk500_recv() error is caused by a generic connection error between your computer and the Arduino, and can result from many different issues. Many thanks to “The Guy with The Hat” from the Arduino Stack Exchange for compiling a great list of fixes that we’ll walk through in detail here. So let’s start with our laundry list… POTENTIAL FIXES Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable. Yes – that simple! Your Arduino board should have a reset button on it. Press the reset button and see if you can upload without the avrdude: stk500_recv() error. Close the Arduino IDE, and reopen it again – believe it or not, this can work! Make sure you have the right Arduino board selected. In the Arduino IDE, go to Tools - Board, and from the lists select the Arduino board you are using. select Arduino Board from Arduino IDE Check to make sure you have the correct port selected. In the Arduino IDE, go to Tools - Port and select the port corresponding to your board. (On a PC it will start with COM, on a MAC it should start with cu.usb) select Arduino Port from Arduino IDE If you’re not sure which is the right port, simply take note of all the ports listed, disconnect your Arduino board from the USB cable, and then check the port menu again. Whichever port is missing, is the port your board was Arduino was using. The Receive (RX) and Transmit (TX) pins on the Arduino (pins 0 and 1) are used when uploading sketches on your Arduino board. If you have any connections to those pins, pull them out before you upload to the board. If you have an Arduino shield attached to your Arduino board, remove the shield and try uploading again. This is related to the last step, as the shield may have a circuit interfering with the transmit and receive pins. STILL GETTING AVRDUDE: STK500_RECV() ERROR? Time to start troubleshooting! If none of the easy stuff works fret! We still have some options to try! What we’ll do is try to figure out the point of failure. It could be the Arduino Board, the computer, or the USB cable. TEST THE USB CABLE Try using a different USB cable and see if you can upload without the avrdude: stk500_recv() error. I know this seems like an unlikely failure point, but you might be surprised how often USB cables fail. TEST ANOTHER ARDUINO BOARD TEST A DIFFERENT COMPUTER CONTINUED… 🤍

Answer - the ESP32-CAM module from A-Thinker! We have already worked with the ESP32, it’s a 32-bit microcontroller from Espressif Systems that has a wealth of features. The ESP32 is a perfect choice to build WiFi-enabled or IoT projects, and it can be programmed using the familiar Arduino IDE. There are many different modules that use the ESP32, and today we will look at one of the most popular ones - the ESP32-CAM. As its name would imply this module has a built-in 2-megapixel camera, as well as a microSD card and provisions for using an external antenna. The demo sketch that comes with the module creates a full-featured Camera Web Server, complete with a control panel and advanced features like face detection. All you need to do to get it working is to add your WiFi credentials. One thing that is missing from the ESP32-CAM module, however, is a USB connector. To program this device you’ll need to use an FTDI adapter, the same type you would use when programming an Arduino Pro Mini. Today I’ll show you how to hook up that FTDI adapter and program the ESP32-CAM. I’ll also show you how to add an external antenna, and how to troubleshoot any “brownout condition” errors you might get when experimenting with this device. Use two boards, or use ten. Transmit in one direction (half-duplex) or bidirectionally (full-duplex). With or without encryption. This magic all comes courtesy of the 2.4GHz radio transceiver that powers the ESP board's WiFi and Bluetooth features. We can also use this radio to set up a network to send small (250 bytes) packets of data between ESP boards. No WiFi or Router is required. Mix and match boards as much as you want. I’ll be showing you how ESP-NOW works, and we’ll perform a few simple experiments with a bunch of ESP32 boards. We’ll end by building a remote temperature sensor system, then expanding it to use multiple sensors.
